1. 1 c. plus 2 tbsp. butter, softened -
2. 1/2 c. Plus 2 Tbsp. Sugar -
3. 2 tsp. water -
4. 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract -
5. 2 c. plus 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour -
6. 1 1/4 c. toasted pecan pieces -
7. 3 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled -
8. Coarse salt, for topping -

How to cook deliciously - Bacon Pecan Sandies

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 350°, or 325° if using a convection oven.

2. Stage

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add water and vanilla, mixing to combine.

3. Stage

Add flour, pecans, and bacon. Stir until incorporated.

4. Stage

Scoop or form into walnut-sized balls. Place cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and press each cookie down using the palm of your hand until they're 1/2-inch thick.

Sprinkle the tops of the cookies with coarse salt, if desired.

Bake 16 to 18 minutes, or until the cookies are light golden brown.
