How to cook deliciously - Caramel Apples

1. Stage

Wash and dry apples. Insert ice-pop sticks about 1" to 2" into the center of each apple. Place desired toppings on shallow plates.

2. Stage

Unwrap caramels and transfer to a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat and add 2 tablespoons water. Cook, stirring frequently with a wooden spoon or plastic spatula, until candy is melted and no lumps are visible, 12 to 15 minutes.

3. Stage

Remove pan from heat. Working quickly, coat apples in caramel, holding handle of pot and tilting it toward you so caramel pools to one side. When you get to the very bottom of the pot, coat apples with a spoon.

4. Stage

Dip caramel-covered apples directly into desired toppings. Arrange apples on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate until ready to serve. Let sit at room temperature 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
