This sweet mustard sauce is fabulous! Easy enough for any night of the week. GREAT on baked ham or even chicken strips.

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 16 servings

  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

  • ¾ cup white sugar

  • 1 tablespoon mustard powder

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 egg yolks

  • ½ cup tarragon vinegar

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, sugar and mustard powder until evenly blended. Whisk together the milk and egg yolks in a saucepan, and slowly whisk in the mustard mixture. Stir in the vinegar. Whisking constantly, bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, reduce heat to low, and simmer until thickened.
