Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ¾ cup white sugar, divided

  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder

  • cup milk

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¼ cup peanut butter

  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 cup boiling water

Directions

  1. Combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, and baking powder in a bowl. Add milk, oil, and vanilla extract; stir until smooth. Mix in peanut butter. Pour mixture into a small or medium slow cooker.

  2. Stir remaining 1/2 cup sugar and cocoa powder together in the bowl. Gradually stir in boiling water. Pour mixture over the batter in the slow cooker; do not stir.

  3. Cover; cook on High until set, 2 to 3 hours.
