How to Bake Lobster Tails

You’ll find the full, step-by-step recipe below — but here’s a brief overview of what you can expect when you make these baked lobster tails at home:

  1. Prepare and butterfly the lobster tails according to Step 1.
  2. Mix the butter and seasonings.
  3. Season the lobster, cover each tail in butter, and squeeze lemon juice over the top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven.

How Long to Bake Lobster Tails

You’ll know the lobster tails are perfectly baked when they’re bright red and the meat is opaque, which should take about 12 to 15 minutes in an oven preheated to 400 degrees F.

An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the meat should read at least 140 to 145 degrees F (60 to 63 degrees C).
