Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 15 servings

  • 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent rolls

  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

  • 1 large egg, separated

  • ¾ cup white sugar

  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. Press 1 package of unseparated crescent rolls into the bottom of a greased 9x12-inch baking dish.

  3. Combine cream cheese, egg yolk, sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until fluffy. Spread mixture on top of crescent roll "crust" in the baking dish.

  4. Cover cream cheese filling with second package of unseparated crescent roll dough. Brush with egg white.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven until puffed up and golden, 25 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
