A nice marinade for all types of meat. When my son asked 'what is it?,' my DIL's best friend said 'it's meat shut up and eat it'. The name was given. This is very flexible. Adjust ingredients to your taste. Add other things such as chopped green onion, etc.

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 8 servings

  • ½ cup soy sauce

  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic

  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root

Directions

  1. Whisk the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl until the sugar has dissolved.

  2. Use to marinate up to 2 pounds of meat for about 2 hours.
