Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 16 servings

  • 1 cup water

  • cup apple cider vinegar

  • 3 fresh jalapeño peppers, sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, roughly chopped

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup apricot preserves

Directions

  1. Combine water, vinegar, jalapeños, garlic, paprika, and salt in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat; simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.

  2. Transfer mixture to a blender. Add apricot preserves; purée until smooth. Cool sauce.

  3. Pour sauce into a glass jar with a lid. Store in the refrigerator.
