Ingredients
- 1 cup
water
- 1 cup
sugar
- 2/3 cup
freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 cup
tequila
- 3 Tbsp.
triple sec
- 2 Tbsp.
lime zest
- 5 cups
frozen strawberries
Directions
- Step 1In a small saucepan bring water and sugar to a boil and whisk until sugar dissolves. Let boil 3 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool.
- Step 2In a blender, blend lime juice, tequila, triple sec, lime zest, strawberries, and 1/3 cup simple syrup until combined. (Store remaining simple syrup in the fridge up to 2 weeks.)
- Step 3Pour into a loaf pan and freeze 3 hours.
- Step 4When ready to serve, remove sorbet from freezer and let soften 5 minutes. Run a lime wedge around a margarita glass and dip in salt. Serve sorbet in glasses.
