Growing up in Panama, Marisel Salazar ate mangoes straight from the tree. But this super easy pudín de mango is one of her favorite creations. She compares it to tastes like a tropical dump cake or a fruity bread pudding.

Ingredients
- 4 cups
mangoes (fresh or frozen)
- 1 1/2 cups
granulated sugar, divided
- 1/2 tsp.
ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp.
ground allspice
- 1 cup
all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp.
baking soda
- 1/2 cup
whole milk
- 1/2 cup
unsalted butter, melted
Pinch kosher salt
Vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, optional
Directions
- Step 1Preheat oven to 350°. Slice mangoes. In a bowl, mix mangoes with 3/4 cup sugar and all of the cinnamon and allspice. Mix the remaining 3/4 cup sugar with milk, flour, baking soda, salt, and butter in a separate bowl and pour over the mangoes. If your batter is very thick, add the mangos to the batter and mix well to coat.
- Step 2Bake for 35 minutes or until fragrant and golden. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
