Ingredients for - German-Style Short Ribs

1. 3/4 cup dry red wine or beef broth -
2. 1/2 cup mango chutney -
3. 3 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca -
4. 1/4 cup water -
5. 3 tablespoons brown sugar -
6. 3 tablespoons cider vinegar -
7. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce -
8. 1/2 teaspoon salt -
9. 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard -
10. 1/2 teaspoon chili powder -
11. 1/2 teaspoon pepper -
12. 4 pounds bone-in beef short ribs -
13. 2 medium onions, sliced -
14. Optional: Egg noodles or spaetzle and minced fresh parsley -

How to cook deliciously - German-Style Short Ribs

1. Stage

In a 5-qt. slow cooker, combine the first 11 ingredients. Add ribs and turn to coat. Top with onions.

2. Stage

Cook, covered, on low for 8-10 hours or until meat is tender. Remove ribs from slow cooker. Skim fat from cooking juices; serve juices with ribs. If desired, serve ribs with noodles or spaetzle and parsley.
