Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings

  • 1 cup fresh bread crumbs

  • ¼ cup pine nuts

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 3 pounds littleneck clams, scrubbed

  • ¾ cup chopped fresh basil

  • ¼ cup butter, melted

  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, quartered

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. Combine bread crumbs, pine nuts, and garlic on a baking sheet.

  3. Toast in the preheated oven until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, place a steamer insert into a saucepan and fill with water to just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring water to a boil. Add clams, cover, and steam until open, about 5 minutes.

  5. Transfer toasted bread crumb mixture to a large bowl. Add basil and tomatoes and mix to combine. Toss clams in the bread crumb mixture and serve immediately.
