1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple in juice, undrained

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

½ cup raisins (Optional)

12 slices bread, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

1 tablespoon brown sugar
Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a baking dish.

Beat sugar and eggs together in a large bowl until sugar is dissolved. Stir in pineapple, butter, raisins, and walnuts. Add bread cubes; stir until well coated. Pour mixture into prepared baking dish; sprinkle with brown sugar.

Bake in the preheated oven until bread is fluffy, about 40 minutes.
