Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 3 servings

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • ¼ teaspoon hot chile oil

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 ½ pounds chicken wings, split and tips removed

  • ¼ cup lite soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon white sugar

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Directions

  1. Combine brown sugar, honey, sesame oil, and chili oil in a small bowl; set aside.

  2. Heat olive oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat. Add chicken and cook, turning occasionally, until lightly browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low, add soy sauce, and cook until reduced, about 5 minutes. Flip chicken to coat evenly.

  3. Add brown sugar mixture to the pan. Continue to cook and flip chicken until no longer pink in the center and juices run clear, about 20 minutes. Sprinkle with white sugar. Continue flipping and cooking for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from the pan and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
