How to cook deliciously - Loaded Mashed Potatoes

1. Stage

Place potatoes in a Dutch oven and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and cover to simmer for 10 to 15 minutes or until tender. Drain and place the potatoes in a large bowl. Editor’s Tip: Salt the water beforehand. Potatoes absorb the water, so seasoning it slightly will boost the flavor.

2. Stage

Add the sour cream, milk, butter, salt and pepper. Beat the mixture on medium-low speed until light and fluffy. Stir in 2 cups of cheese, bacon and onions. Editor’s Tip: Add the sour cream and milk at room temperature or slightly warmed. Add in cold butter.

3. Stage

Transfer to a greased 3-quart baking dish. Top with the remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350°F for 30 minutes or until heated through and the cheese is melted.
