Ingredients for - Sweet Potatoes au Gratin

1. 2 large uncooked sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/4 inch thick -
2. 1 large egg -
3. 2 cups heavy whipping cream -
4. 3/4 teaspoon salt -
5. 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg -
6. pinch Pepper -
7. 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese -
8. Minced fresh thyme, optional -

How to cook deliciously - Sweet Potatoes au Gratin

1. Stage

Place potatoes in a greased 8 inch square baking dish. Beat the egg in a bowl. Add cream, salt, nutmeg and pepper and mix it well. Pour over the potatoes and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

2. Stage

Bake, uncovered, at 375°F until the potatoes are tender, for 40 to 45 minutes. If desired, top with fresh thyme to serve. Editor’s Tip: If the top starts to brown too quickly, cover the gratin with foil during the latter part of baking to prevent burning while allowing the potatoes to cook through.
