1. 2 ounces rye whiskey -
2. 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice -
3. 1/2 ounce simple syrup -
4. 1 egg white, optional -
5. 3/4 ounce red wine, such as Malbec, Merlot, or Cabernet Sauvignon -

How to cook deliciously - New York Sour Cocktail

1. Stage

Combine the ingredients: In a cocktail shaker filled 2/3 with ice, pour in the rye whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white, if using.

2. Stage

Shake: Shake hard for 20 seconds, and then strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.

3. Stage
