1. 6 c. (680 g.) powdered sugar, plus more for dusting -

How to cook deliciously - Peppermint Patties
1. Stage
Line a baking sheet with parchment and dust with powdered sugar. In the large bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, beat powdered sugar, milk, peppermint extract, and mint, if using, on medium-high speed until well combined and a dough forms.

Scoop 1-ounce portions (about 2 tablespoons) dough and arrange on prepared pan. Flatten to a small disk (they will relax as they sit, so don’t flatten too much). Freeze until set, about 1 hour.

Meanwhile, in a double-boiler or in the microwave, melt chocolate until smooth.

Line another baking sheet with parchment. Dip rounds into chocolate and arrange on prepared sheet. Freeze until set, about 10 minutes more, or until ready to serve.
