How to cook deliciously - Spam Musubi

1. Stage

Remove Spam from can. Rinse can and reserve. Cut Spam into 8 lengthwise pieces and transfer to a large bowl. Add teriyaki sauce, turning to coat. Marinate 15 minutes.

2. Stage

Arrange Spam in a single layer in air-fryer basket; reserve marinade. Cook at 400°, flipping halfway through, until glazed and warmed through, 6-8 minutes.

3. Stage

Rinse rice three times under cool water and strain. Combine rice and 2 1/2 cups water in a medium pot. Bring to a boil, cover, then reduce heat to low. Cook until liquid is absorbed and rice is jammy and slightly overcooked (which will make it stickier), about 20 minutes.

4. Stage

Meanwhile, transfer reserved marinade to a small pot and bring to a boil. Cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 2 minutes.

5. Stage

Lightly coat Spam can with nonstick spray. Stuff can with about 1/3 cup rice, firmly pressing to pack into can. Invert rice from can on top of one sheet of nori (if rice doesn't hold its shape, freeze until firm, about 10 minutes).

6. Stage

Sprinkle with furikake, top with Spam, and brush with teriyaki sauce. Carefully wrap seaweed around rice. Dampen one end of nori and press to seal.
