Ingredients for - Bacon milk rolls with homemade brown sauce

1. 4 milk rolls (or other soft white rolls) -
2. 8 rashers back bacon, grilled or fried -
3. 3 tomatoes , blanched, peeled and chopped -
4. 50g brown sugar -
5. 1 shallot , finely chopped -
6. 1 tbsp malt vinegar -
7. 1 tsp allspice -
8. 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce -
9. drop of Tabasco -

How to cook deliciously - Bacon milk rolls with homemade brown sauce

1. Stage

To make the brown sauce, add all the ingredients to a medium saucepan with a teaspoon of salt, bring to the boil then simmer on a low heat for 30 mins, stirring occasionally to prevent it from sticking.

Generously butter your milk rolls, add 2 rashers of bacon and a dollop of your homemade brown sauce to each butty.
