1. 1/2 c. water -
2. 3/4 c. honey -
3. 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper -
4. 1/2 tsp. whole allspice -
5. 1/2 tsp. whole black pepper -
6. 2 in. piece of fresh ginger -
7. 1 scotch bonnet chili cut in half -
8. 3 oz. Tanqueray London Dry Gin -
9. 1 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice -
10. Ice -
11. Lemon rounds, for garnish -
12. Crystalized ginger, for garnish -

How to cook deliciously - Spicy Bee’s Knees

1. Stage

Make hot honey simple syrup: In a small saucepan combine water, honey, spices, ginger, and chili. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 7 minutes. Let cool then strain into a jar. 

2. Stage

Combine gin, 1 ½ oz honey simple syrup, lemon juice, and ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon round and ginger.
