1. 1/2 lb. unsalted butter -
2. 2 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar -
3. 1 1/4 c. Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa -
4. 1/2 c. heavy cream -
5. 1/2 tsp. salt -
6. 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract -

How to cook deliciously - Dark Chocolate Icing

1. Stage

Have all your ingredients at room temperature.

2. Stage

With a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, whip the butter on high speed for 1 minute.

3. Stage

In a separate bowl, mix the confectioners’ sugar and dark cocoa. With the mixer on low speed (otherwise you’ll be covered in confectioners’ sugar), add the sugar-cocoa mixture 1 cup at a time, until completely incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl between additions. Whip on high speed for 2 minutes until light and fluffy.

4. Stage

Add the cream, salt, and vanilla extract and whip on high speed for 2 minutes more.
