Prepare the cake batter: Cream together the butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time; scrape down the bowl to make sure all is incorporated.

2. Stage

Combine oat flour, whole-wheat flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix half of the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until moistened. Then add the bananas, yogurt, and vanilla. Add the remaining dry ingredients and the nuts. Blend until evenly moistened.

3. Stage

Turn cake batter into prepared pan.

4. Stage

Prepare the crunchy topping: Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the batter in the pan.

5. Stage

Bake cake for 40-45 minutes. The edges will slightly pull away from the sides when the cake is done, and a cake tester inserted the middle will come out clean.

6. Stage

Cool the cake completely.

7. Stage

Unmold the cake; the oat topping makes a crunchy bottom layer.

8. Stage

Prepare the frosting: Whisk the first three ingredients together and chill for 15 minutes.

9. Stage

Spread a thin layer of frosting over the top of the cake, leaving the sides bare. Chill until the frosting is firm and decorate with a stencil and some ground cinnamon.
