Ingredients for - Trader Vic Mai Tai Cocktail

1. Crushed ice 1 cup
2. Lime 1
3. 17-year old J. Wray & Nephew Jamaican rum 2 fluid ounces
4. French Garnier orgeat ½ fluid ounce
5. Orange curaçao liqueur ½ fluid ounce
6. Rock candy syrup ¼ fluid ounce
7. Ice 1 cup
8. Fresh mint 1 sprig

How to cook deliciously - Trader Vic Mai Tai Cocktail

1 . Stage

Fill a rocks glass with 1 cup crushed ice. Set aside in the freezer.

2 . Stage

Cut lime in half. Juice both halves into a cocktail shaker. Set one rind aside for serving; discard the other.

3 . Stage

Add rum, orgeat, curaçao, and rock candy syrup to the cocktail shaker. Add 1 cup ice, cover, and shake until chilled.

4 . Stage

Place the reserved lime rind into the chilled rocks glass. Strain in mai tai and float mint sprig on the edge of the glass.
