1. 4 large onions -
2. 4 medium carrots -
3. 4 stalk celery (leaves included) -
4. 10 fresh basil leaves -
5. 2 bay leaves -
6. 2 clove garlic -
7. 8 whole black peppercorns -
8. 1 sprig fresh parsley -
9. 10 c. water -

How to cook deliciously - Vegetable Stock

1. Stage

Combine the onions, carrots, celery, basil leaves, bay leaves, garlic, peppercorns, parsley, and water in an 8-quart pot. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer 25 minutes.

2. Stage

Pour the stock through a large strainer into a large bowl or pot. Discard the solids.
