Ingredients for - Caramel Syrup

1. 1 c. granulated sugar -
2. 1 c. Water, Divided -
3. 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract  -

How to cook deliciously - Caramel Syrup

1. Stage

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and ½ cup water. Stir until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat and maintain a low boil. Let boil, stirring as little as possible, until mixture is a golden amber color. 

2. Stage

Remove from heat and very carefully and slowly, add remaining ½ cup of water. Mixture will steam and splatter. Aim for the side of the pan as you pour in water to reduce splattering. Stir in vanilla. 

3. Stage

Allow mixture to cool completely before transferring to another container and storing in the refrigerator.
