Ingredients for - Penicillin Cocktail

1. For the Honey-Ginger Syrup -
2. 1/2 cup honey -
3. 1/2 cup water -
4. 3-inch piece of ginger root, peeled and sliced -
5. For the Penicillin Cocktail -
6. 2 ounces blended scotch -
7. 3/4 ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice -
8. 3/4 ounce honey-ginger syrup -
9. Ice -
10. 1/4 ounce Islay Scotch -
11. Candied ginger or lemon peel for garnish, optional -

How to cook deliciously - Penicillin Cocktail

1. Stage

Make the honey-ginger syrup: Add the honey, water, and ginger root to a pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, then allow the syrup to cool. Strain and store in the fridge.

2. Stage

Make the cocktail: Pour the blended Scotch, lemon juice, and honey-ginger syrup into a shaker. Add ice, shake, and strain into a rocks glass with ice. Float the Islay scotch on top by pouring it gently over the back of a spoon. Garnish with candied ginger, lemon peel, or both. Enjoy! Did you love this cocktail?
