1. 2 c. all-purpose flour -
2. 1/4 c. whole wheat flour -
3. 1 tbsp. baking powder -
4. 2 tsp. granulated sugar -
5. 1/2 tsp. kosher salt  -
6. 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper  -
7. 1/2 tsp. garlic powder -
8. 1 tbsp. freshly chopped parsley  -
9. 1 tbsp. freshly chopped dill  -
10. 1 tbsp. freshly chopped chives -
11. 3/4 c. (1 ½ sticks) cold Land O Lakes® Salted Butter, cubed -
12. 1 c. buttermilk, cold -
13. 2 large eggs, divided -
14. 1 tbsp. water -
15. Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling -
16. Land O Lakes® Salted Butter, for serving -

How to cook deliciously - Herby Garlic Butter Biscuits

1. Stage

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flours, baking powder, sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and herbs.

Add cubed Land O Lakes® Salted Butter to the dry ingredients and work in with your fingers until the butter pieces are the size of lentils.

In a liquid measuring cup, whisk to combine the buttermilk and 1 egg.

Add the buttermilk mixture to the flour mixture and mix with a spatula just until combined.

On a lightly floured surface, with floured hands if needed, pat the dough into a rectangle about a ½" thick. Fold it in half, then in half again. Pat out into a ½" thick rectangle again and once more, in half, and in half again. Wrap well and chill in the refrigerator for half an hour.

Preheat oven to 400°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle ½" thick, fold it in half, then in half again. Pat into a rectangle that is 1" thick.

Using a bench scraper, straighten the sides of the dough and cut into 6 squares. Transfer the squares to the prepared tray. If the dough feels too warm or sticky, place the tray in the freezer for 15 minutes before continuing.

Make the egg wash: Whisk together the remaining egg and 1 tbsp. water in a small bowl. Brush the tops of the biscuits with the egg wash and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

Bake for 20 to 23 minutes, until lightly brown, and serve with more Land O Lakes® Salted Butter.
