Ingredients for - Best-Ever Cherry Jam

1. 4 c. cherries, pitted and roughly chopped 
2. 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
3. Pinch of kosher salt
4. 2 tbsp. amaretto liqueur (optional)

How to cook deliciously - Best-Ever Cherry Jam

1 . Stage

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cherries, sugar, salt, and 1 tablespoon cold water.

2 . Stage

Bring mixture up to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until cherries begin to break down, 12 to 15 minutes. 

3 . Stage

 If using, add amaretto and continue to cook until mixture has thickened and leaves a trail behind your spoon when you stir, 2 to 5 minutes more. 

4 . Stage

When jam has thickened and reached between 215° and 220°, remove from heat and transfer to a clean glass jar. Let cool completely before covering and refrigerating.
