How to cook deliciously - Blackened Chicken

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 350°. Place a large (at least 10") cast-iron skillet into the oven to preheat.

2. Stage

Cut each chicken breast in half lengthwise to create two thin cutlets.

3. Stage

In a small bowl, combine all seasonings together and stir to combine. Season chicken breasts all over with seasoning mixture.

4. Stage

Carefully take the skillet out of the oven and place onto the stovetop. Melt butter over medium-high heat. Once melted, sear chicken breasts on both sides, about 3 to 5 minutes each side. At this stage, you’re looking for chicken to get a nice char.

5. Stage

Remove from heat and garnish with lemon slices, if desired. Place the skillet back into the oven to allow chicken to cook through completely, 5 to 7 minutes.

6. Stage

Serve warm along with your favorite side dishes.
