How to cook deliciously - Baked Cheesy Mashed Potato Bites

1. Stage

Make the potatoes: In a small saucepan, cover potatoes by 1" of water and add a generous pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and cook until totally knife tender, about 8 minutes. Drain and return potatoes to pot.

2. Stage

Add butter and half the cheese and use a potato masher or fork to mash potatoes until smooth and butter and cheese is melted. Stir in sour cream and half and half. Season generously with salt and pepper. Set aside.

3. Stage

Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly coat a mini muffin tin with cooking spray. Set aside.

4. Stage

On a lightly floured work surface, unroll crescent dough and pinch together seams. Using a 2 1/2" round cutter, cut out 15 dough rounds. Press rounds into prepared muffin tins. Spoon about 1 tablespoon mashed potatoes into each cup. Top each with remaining half of cheese.

5. Stage

Bake until crust is golden, 22 to 24 minutes. Let cool slightly.

6. Stage

In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk McCormick turkey gravy with 1 cup water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, whisking until thickened, about 1 minute.

7. Stage

Top mashed potato bites with bacon and chives. Serve with turkey gravy for dipping.
