1. Ground beef - 1 pound
2. Water - 3 cups
3. Tomato sauce - 2 (8 ounce) cans
4. Potatoes, peeled and chopped - 4 medium
5. Tomatoes, chopped, or more to taste - 2 medium
6. Chopped white onion - ¼ cup
7. Sazon seasoning (such as Goya®) - 1 (1.41 ounce) package
8. Beef bouillon - 2 cubes
9. Garlic, minced, or more to taste - 1 clove
10. Chili powder - ½ teaspoon
11. Ground cayenne pepper, or to taste (Optional) - ½ teaspoon
12. Bay leaf - 1 large
13. Ground black pepper to taste - 1 large
14. Frozen mixed vegetables (such as Birds Eye®) - 4 ounces

How to cook deliciously - Hamburger Stew with Potatoes

1. Stage

Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.

2. Stage

Transfer beef to a large pot and add water, tomato sauce, potatoes, tomatoes, onion, sazon, bouillon cubes, garlic, chili powder, cayenne pepper, bay leaf, and black pepper. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes. Add frozen vegetables and continue to cook until potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes more.
