1. Ripe tomatoes - 10
2. Butter - 2 tablespoons
3. Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
4. Carrots, chopped - 2
5. Onion, chopped - 1
6. Green bell pepper, chopped - 1
7. Garlic, minced - 4 cloves
8. Burgundy wine - ¼ cup
9. Chopped fresh basil - ¼ cup
10. Italian seasoning - ¼ teaspoon
11. Celery - 2 stalks
12. Bay leaf - 1
13. Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Homemade Tomato Sauce

1. Stage

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Prepare a large bowl of ice water.

2. Stage

Plunge whole tomatoes in boiling water until skin starts to peel, about 1 minute. Remove with a slotted spoon and place in ice bath. Let rest until cool enough to handle.
