1. 1 cup water -
2. 1/4 cup quinoa, rinsed -
3. 1/4 cup mashed peeled ripe pear -
4. 1 tablespoon honey -
5. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon -
6. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract -
7. Dash ground ginger -
8. Dash ground nutmeg -
9. Topping: -
10. 1/4 cup sliced almonds -
11. 1 tablespoon brown sugar -
12. 1 tablespoon butter, softened -
13. Plain Greek yogurt, optional -

How to cook deliciously - Quinoa-Pear Breakfast Bake

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 350°. In a small bowl, combine the first 8 ingredients; transfer to a greased 3-cup baking dish. Cover and bake for 50 minutes. In another small bowl, combine almonds, brown sugar and butter; sprinkle over quinoa mixture.

2. Stage

Bake, uncovered, until lightly browned, 5-10 minutes longer. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. If desired, serve with yogurt.
