1. Chopped suet - 1 cup
2. Raisins - 1 cup
3. Dark corn syrup - 1 cup
4. Water - 1 cup
5. Baking soda - 1 teaspoon
6. Salt, divided - 2 teaspoons
7. Nutmeg - ½ teaspoon
8. Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
9. Ground cloves - ¼ teaspoon
10. All-purpose flour - 3 cups
11. Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
12. Milk - 2 cups
13. Butter - 1 tablespoon
14. White sugar - 1 cup
15. Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
16. Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Suet Pudding

1. Stage

In a large bowl combine suet, raisins, corn syrup, water, baking soda, 1 teaspoon salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, flour and baking powder; mix well.

Heat batter in a steamer over 1 inch of hot, but not boiling, water. Steam until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine milk, 1 teaspoon salt, butter, sugar and cornstarch. Stir constantly until mixture thickens; stir in vanilla extract.

Serve pudding and sauce warm.
