How to cook deliciously - Sugar Cookie Fries

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 350°. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment. In the large bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating to blend after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, and salt and beat on low speed until just combined.

2. Stage

Divide dough into 2 balls and flatten into discs. Refrigerate until cold, about 1 hour.

3. Stage

On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to a large, thin rectangle. With a short end facing you, using a pizza cutter (or sharp knife), cut dough crosswise into 3/4"- to 1"-thick strips. Cut strips in half lengthwise; trim edges to create straight sides. Sprinkle with sugar and transfer dough to prepared sheets. Refrigerate until cold, about 1 hour.

4. Stage

Bake cookie fries until starting to turn golden around the edges, 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool completely.

5. Stage

Arrange cookie fries on a platter. Serve with desired dipping sauces alongside.
