How to cook deliciously - Buckwheat without boiling
1. Stage
With this method of cooking buckwheat groats prewashing is not required, but if you came across not too clean groats or something confuses you, of course, rinse it. I always try to choose black kernels from the groats, I do not like them in the ready dish. Although for 300 ml of grits I came across only 3 such kernels.
2. Stage
Pour the required amount of buckwheat groats into a suitable container with a lid. Pour clean drinking water, close the lid and put in the fridge. I fill buckwheat groats with water at the rate of about 1:1.7, you can pour a little more water, but definitely not more than 1:2.
3. Stage
Here is our buckwheat already in 3 hours. I usually fill buckwheat with water in the evening and cook it the next day. But if your plans change, don't worry. In this form buckwheat stands fine in the fridge for several days.
4. Stage
In the morning or at any time we take the container with the swollen buckwheat from the fridge and pour the necessary amount of buckwheat for further cooking in a colander. The excess liquid will simply drain off, and during cooking the buckwheat kernels will remain intact. If you do not wash buckwheat groats before soaking, you can lightly sprinkle the swollen buckwheat with clean water. Shake the colander gently a couple of times to drain the excess water.
5. Stage
If you use the microwave for cooking, you can simply reheat the swollen buckwheat in a suitable container with a lid on it. I use a non-stick pan with a thick bottom to cook buckwheat. A coated sauté pan will also work fine for this purpose. So, to prepare buckwheat with milk we heat a frying pan and lay buckwheat. Stirring buckwheat with a spatula, evaporate excess liquid. It will take literally a couple of minutes. This variant of buckwheat I do not salt. But it is a matter of taste. If you want to cook buckwheat as a side dish to meat, etc., or serve it as a hot meal, then first heat some oil in a frying pan, butter will be more delicious, but vegetable oil will also work fine for Lent, then, as in the first variant, put buckwheat and warm it, stirring, over medium heat. Do not forget to salt.
6. Stage
That's it, the buckwheat is ready! Spread the buckwheat into deep plates or your favorite pots, fill with milk and add sugar to taste. Bon appetit and have a good day!
