1. Evaporated milk 1 cup
2. White sugar 1 cup
3. Egg yolks 3 large
4. Unsalted butter ½ cup
5. Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
6. Flaked coconut 1 ½ cups
7. Chopped pecans 1 cup

1 . Stage

Combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until thickened, 10 to 15 minutes.
