Ingredients for - Hibiscus Spritz

1. For the hibiscus simple syrup (makes about 2 cups): -
2. 1 cup sugar -
3. 1 cup water -
4. 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers -
5. Hibiscus spritz: -
6. 1 ounce hibiscus simple syrup -
7. 1 1/2 ounces vodka -
8. 5 ounces sparkling water (club soda) -
9. Fresh lime, for garnish -

How to cook deliciously - Hibiscus Spritz

1. Stage

Make the simple syrup: In a small pot add the sugar, water, and dried hibiscus flowers. Heat over medium heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved and the syrup is steaming. Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes. Then strain out flowers. Store syrup in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

2. Stage

Make the Hibiscus Spritz: Add vodka and 1 ounce of the simple syrup to a tall glass. Stir together and add ice. Top with sparkling water. Serve with a wedge of fresh lime. Alternate Method: Reduce the vodka to 3/4 ounce and use sparkling wine instead of club soda to top off the cocktail. To Make a Mocktail : Add 1 1/2 ounces of the simple syrup to sparkling water.
