How to cook deliciously - Lenten muffins
1. Stage
Dry apples (not soaked!!!) must be cut with scissors into thin strips. Do not grind in a meat grinder or blender, as the apples will lump together.
2. Stage
Crush the nuts with a mortar or pusher to make medium sized pieces.
3. Stage
Make a strong cup of coffee and leave it to cool. If you don't like coffee, it can be successfully replaced with a cup of strong tea
4. Stage
Measure the butter and sugar
5. Stage
After stirring a little, add the flour, nuts and apples
6. Stage
Pour the coffee in portions. I used very good flour, and the dough came out with a perfect consistency - like thick sour cream. At the end, put in the baking soda, extinguished with vinegar. You can substitute 1 tsp. of baking powder.
7. Stage
It is better to let the dough stand for about 30 minutes - the apples will be a little softer and the dough will be more fragrant. Then you can put it into the molds, filling them halfway. Bake in a preheated 180* oven for 30 minutes.
8. Stage
The dough rises almost immediately. This and the previous photo show the process before and after baking. I ended up with 18 medium muffins)) Enjoy your tea time!!!
