Ingredients for - Turkey Chili with Brown Rice

1. Lean ground turkey 1 pound
2. Onion, diced 1 large
3. Diced tomatoes, undrained 2 (14.5 ounce) cans
4. Chili beans, undrained 1 (16 ounce) can
5. Chopped green chiles, undrained 1 (4 ounce) can
6. Water ½ cup
7. White sugar 1 tablespoon
8. Chili powder 2 teaspoons
9. Ground cumin 1 teaspoon
10. Salt ½ teaspoon
11. Water 1 ⅓ cups
12. Uncooked brown rice ⅔ cup

How to cook deliciously - Turkey Chili with Brown Rice

1 . Stage

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir turkey and onion in the hot skillet until turkey is browned and crumbly and onion is transparent, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.

2 . Stage

Transfer turkey mixture to a large stockpot. Stir in tomatoes, chili beans, green chiles, 1/2 cup water, sugar, chili powder, cumin, and salt and bring to a simmer. Cook for 1 hour.

3 . Stage

Meanwhile, bring 1 1/3 cups water and brown rice to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until rice is tender and liquid has been absorbed, 45 to 50 minutes.

4 . Stage

Add cooked rice to the stockpot, cover, and cook until rice is hot, about 15 minutes.
