1. 8 slices bacon, cut into 1" pieces -
5. 1 bag shredded hashbrowns, defrosted -
8. 1 qt. chicken broth -
10. 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese, plus more for garnish -
11. 1 tsp. Hot sauce, such as Tabasco -
How to cook deliciously - Loaded Hash Brown Soup
1. Stage
In a large pot, cook bacon until crispy. Remove bacon but reserve about 2 tablespoons of fat in the pan. Add onion and celery, sauté until they begin to soften. Add garlic and hash browns and cook until garlic is fragrant. Season with salt and pepper.
2. Stage
Pour in chicken broth, milk, cheddar and hot sauce and bring to a boil. Let simmer until slightly thickened, about 8 to 10 minutes.
3. Stage
Garnish with reserved bacon, cheddar cheese, chopped chives and a dollop of sour cream. Serve.
