3. 3 1/2 cups whole milk, or milk alternative -
4. 1 1/2 cups steel-cut oats -
5. 1 cup golden raisins -
6. 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon -
7. 1 teaspoon ground allspice -
8. 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom -
9. 3/4 teaspoon salt -
10. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (optional) -
11. To serve: -
12. Honey or brown sugar to taste -

How to cook deliciously - Slow Cooker Spiced Oatmeal

1. Stage

Add everything to the slow cooker: Add the water, milk, oats, raisins, cinnamon, allspice, cardamom and salt to your slow cooker. Stir. Set it to cook on low for 7 hours.

2. Stage

Stir to combine: When you’re ready to eat, stir the oatmeal thoroughly to ensure that everything is fully combined and the edges are completely incorporated. If the oatmeal looks dry or clumpy, add a bit of additional water or milk.

3. Stage

Serve: Add in any additional toppings you would like, like cut fruit and nuts. You can either stir everything in together or let everyone add on their toppings individually. Serve hot. Leftovers! You can store the oatmeal in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for 3 months.
