Ingredients for - Smoked Trout Spread
1. 8 oz. smoked trout, bones and skin removed -
2. 4 oz. cream cheese, room temperature -
4. 1/4 c. mixed chopped scallions, dill, and/or chives, plus more for serving -
7. 1/2 tsp. (or more) fish sauce (optional) -
8. 1/4 tsp. (or more) kosher salt -
9. 1/4 tsp. (or more) freshly ground black pepper -
10. Toasted bread, crackers, and/or crudités, for serving -
How to cook deliciously - Smoked Trout Spread
1. Stage
Using 2 forks, flake trout into small, bite-sized pieces. In a large bowl, mix trout, cream cheese, and sour cream with a spatula until well combined. Fold in scallions and herbs, lemon juice, horseradish, fish sauce (if using), salt, and pepper. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours or up to overnight.
2. Stage
When ready to serve, taste dip and adjust seasonings. Transfer to a serving dish and top with scallions and herbs. Serve with bread alongside.
