Ingredients for - Ultimate Smothered Chicken

1. 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2. 1 tsp. paprika
3. Pinch cayenne pepper
4. Kosher salt
5. Freshly ground black pepper
6. 2 lb. chicken thighs and legs
7. 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
8. 2 onions, thinly sliced
9. 4 sprigs fresh thyme
10. 3 cloves garlic, minced
11. 1 c. low-sodium chicken broth

How to cook deliciously - Ultimate Smothered Chicken

1 . Stage

Preheat oven to 350°. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, paprika, and cayenne pepper and season with salt and pepper. Set aside 2 tablespoons of mixture.

2 . Stage

Season chicken all over with salt and pepper, then dredge each piece in flour mixture until lightly coated. Shake off excess.  

3 . Stage

In a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Working in batches, add chicken and sear until golden on both sides, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate.
