How to cook deliciously - White Chocolate Peppermint Blondies

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 13"-by-9" baking pan with cooking spray. Line with parchment, leaving an overhang on 2 opposite sides.

2. Stage

In a medium bowl, whisk flour, salt, and baking powder. In a large bowl, whisk brown sugar, butter, and granulated sugar until combined. Whisk in eggs and vanilla until combined.

3. Stage

Using a flexible spatula, fold dry ingredients into sugar mixture until a dough forms. Stir in chips. Scrape dough into prepared pan; smooth top. Bake blondies until golden brown on the edges and a tester inserted into the center comes out clean, 30 to 32 minutes. Let cool completely.

4. Stage

In a small heatproof bowl, microwave chips in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth. Let cool.

5. Stage

In a large bowl, using an electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat powdered sugar, butter, peppermint extract, and salt until mostly smooth, about 1 minute. (Don’t worry if frosting looks clumpy.) Add chocolate and mix on medium-high speed until smooth and fluffy, about 1 minute more.

6. Stage

Using parchment overhang, remove blondies from pan and place on a cutting board. Using an offset spatula, spread frosting over blondies. Sprinkle with candies, then slice into triangles or rectangles.
