1. 1 package (8-1/2 ounces) cornbread/muffin mix -
2. 1 large egg, beaten -
3. 1 cup shredded zucchini -
4. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese -
5. 1/4 cup finely chopped onion -
6. 1 teaspoon minced garlic -
7. 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning -
8. Oil for deep-fat frying -

1. Stage

In a large bowl, stir together the first 7 ingredients. In a deep-fat fryer or skillet, heat 2 in. oil to 375°. Drop batter by rounded tablespoonfuls into skillet. Fry 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels; keep warm.
