1. 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2. 2 tablespoons sugar
3. 4 teaspoons cornstarch
4. 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
5. 1 tablespoon butter
6. 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
7. Vanilla ice cream or flavor of your choice

How to cook deliciously - Butter Pecan Sauce

1 . Stage

In a heavy saucepan, combine the sugars and cornstarch. Gradually stir in cream until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly; cook and stir until slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes.

Remove from the heat; stir in butter until melted. Add the pecans. Serve warm over ice cream.
