1. Cooking spray
2. Craft sticks 15
3. Apples 15 medium
4. White sugar 2 cups
5. Water 1 ½ cups
6. Light corn syrup 1 cup
7. Red food coloring 8 drops

How to cook deliciously - Candied Apples

1 . Stage

Lightly grease cookie sheets. Insert craft sticks into whole, stemmed apples.

2 . Stage

Combine sugar, water, and corn syrup in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Heat to 300 to 310 degrees F (149 to 154 degrees C), or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms hard, brittle threads. Remove from heat and stir in food coloring.

3 . Stage

Holding each apple by its stick, dip in syrup, remove and turn to coat evenly. Place on prepared sheets to harden.
