Ingredients for - Chayote Soup

1. Chicken bouillon, crumbled - 2 cubes
2. Hot water - 2 cups
3. Unsalted butter - 1 tablespoon
4. Yellow onion, minced - 1 small
5. Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
6. Crushed red pepper flakes - ¼ teaspoon
7. Chayote squashes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces - 2
8. Chopped fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons
9. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 2 tablespoons
10. Chopped fresh cilantro - 1 tablespoon

How to cook deliciously - Chayote Soup

1. Stage

Dissolve bouillon in hot water; set aside.

2. Stage

Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir onion, garlic, and red pepper in butter until onion is soft. Add squash, 2 tablespoons cilantro, salt, and pepper; stir continually for 5 minutes.

3. Stage

Stir in bouillon mixture and 1 tablespoon cilantro; cover. Simmer for about 20 minutes.

4. Stage

Pour mixture into a blender and purée until smooth. Pour into bowls and garnish with a sprig of cilantro to serve.
